The Challenge
The organisation was rolling out Microsoft Azure Information Protection globally and needed technology integration and user adoption to be successful to enhance the business's security posture.
Acting as programme manager, our role was crucial in scoping, shaping rollout and adoption. In shaping this programme, the client required us to address the following questions:
- How can our business operate more securely without impacting efficiency?
- How will our people work with new restrictions in place to protect data? Where will they now store data?
- What is the process for when something goes wrong, and how do we limit impact?
The Solution
Our role was to ensure that the business used this as an opportunity to enhance the security culture and enable them to accurately and effectively use the new functionality. Effective programme management was instrumental in establishing the correct structure of the programme, piloting it and then rolling it out in the most successful way.
We worked with our financial services client to create the roadmap to direct and guide how and when to roll out and what considerations were required at each stage. The rollout was staged carefully to create the right level of momentum, enabling the business to manage the change effectively and adopt new ways of working.
Acting as programme manager, we helped to ensure that 12,000 users worldwide received targeted, specific communications about their new ways of working, including translations into various languages.
