The Challenge

As a disruptor in the food and beverage space, our client was on a rapid expansion journey. Having made their mark in Singapore, business had expanded to more Asian cities, including Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Jakarta. Now the region’s leading restaurant platform, it differentiates itself with its consultative approach. Part of this approach involves helping partner restaurants find the best technology solutions for their businesses.

Approaching 10 years of operations, the business found itself needing a scalable finance and accounting system to support its ambitions for growth and expansion. To handle the increase in reservations and transactions, the business was looking to make their processes more efficient. Eliminating manual steps and integrating siloed systems.

The Solution

We worked with the client to zero in on their primary requirement; a comprehensive and scalable ERP solution.

The solution would need to accommodate the business’ increasing size and come with the data integrations needed to automate their business operations. We worked closely together on a complete finance transformation strategy that would support scalable growth.

Our client’s business model focuses on the relationship between B2B businesses that want to reach the same end customer. This complex model required a robust solution. One designed to streamline Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.

We designed an Oracle NetSuite cloud-based ERP solution to fit the business needs. This included customisations linking Sales and Finance teams for a complete end-to-end solution, with electronic signatures and email integration adding even more process automation.

This solution would also integrate with our client’s existing systems – including Zendesk, Data Warehouse and Google Workspace. It also needed to migrate ten years of legacy data. To do this, we recommended Boomi – a leading integration platform. This data migration tool would act as the middleware, connecting their legacy accounting system with the new ERP solution.

The Impact

We oversaw the successful deployment of the restaurant book platform’s new ERP solution. The solution fully integrates business-critical systems ensuring seamless flow of data between their systems and improving overall operational productivity.

This was a digital-first solution enabling our client to introduce new workflows to automate their internal approval processes. Improving efficiency across audits, traceability, and processes.

Our client’s Finance team now performs direct, automated generation of thousands of invoices each month – creating significant cost efficiencies for the business.

Driven by the business ambitions, this finance transformation process has laid the foundations for a scalable and sustainable growth strategy.
