Welcome Tom Marle. Marvellous!

Meet Tom Marle, our newest recruit to our London team.

Welcome to the dream team, Tom.

Q&A. Let's go!

Q: What is your role at LanciaConsult? And which team are you in?
A:
I'm a Senior Consultant based in the London office.

Q: How long have you been a consultant? And where were you before you joined our team?
A:
Before joining Lancia, I worked in the consulting industry for seven years, including for Deloitte and Slalom Consulting.

Q: What was your path into consulting like?
A:
I started my consulting journey in 2017 when I joined Deloitte as an Analyst on their BrightStart scheme, a higher apprenticeship scheme for people who didn't go to University.

After four years at Deloitte, I spent three years at Slalom Consulting and then moved to Lancia!

Q: What are you most looking forward to about your future at Lancia Consult?
A:
I'm excited to see how I can help the team grow the London office (both in terms of team numbers and clients).

Q: What have you done in your first few weeks with us?
A:
Over the past few weeks, I've had the pleasure of meeting everyone in the London office, and their warm welcome has really helped me settle in. Additionally, I've had the opportunity to introduce myself virtually to colleagues in the Bristol and Belfast offices. I am now planning to visit those offices to meet everyone face-to-face!

I've also started my first project at Lancia, where I am supporting my client as a Lead Business Analyst on several digital transformation projects.

Q: What do you think of the team?
A:
The team is a tight-knit, social group that is always willing to pitch in and support each other. One of the many benefits of being part of this team is the opportunity to work with smart, switched-on consultants in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Q: What sort of consulting work excites you the most? And is there anything that you're looking forward to getting stuck into?
A:
I enjoy agile transformations and any initiatives involving fast-paced change. It's always a bonus when the project is a strategic priority for the client. I am generally happy when my roles involve Business Analysis, Project Management, or Change Management.

Q: What do you think makes a good consultant?
A:
It's hard to say what a 'good' Consultant looks like, as we frequently move between projects that require different skills and expertise. However, if you are resilient, adaptable, a good communicator, and capable of managing your time effectively, you are in an excellent position to impress!

Q: What makes you tick outside of work and the office?
A:
Outside of work, I enjoy going to the gym, but this is only to allow me to pursue my (real) passion of finding the best places to eat and drink in London! I'm also a sports lover and spend a lot of my time fixated on football, boxing and padel.

Q: So far, what's the best bit about joining the team?
A:
The best part about joining the team so far is how welcoming and friendly everyone has been. I am excited to see how the London office will continue to grow in the coming years!
