London Life Q&A with Senior Consultant, Emma Marriott
Q: What's your role at Lancia?
A: Senior Consultant
Q: How long have you been working for Lancia?
A: Since September 2020! Three years!
Q: What were you doing before you joined the London team?
A: Living in Bristol and being part of the Bristol team.
Q: What excites you most about working in the London team?
A: Being in London and having that startup feel again! Dawit and I were part of the first Graduate Consultant intake, and it’s great to have moved to London with him to do another first!
Q: What are your favourite moments while setting up the London office?
A: Walking back from the plant shop with Pete with a colourful and lively parade of greenery through Notting Hill and an entourage of new plant pals for the office!
Q: Do you work on particular types of projects? Or do you have a specialisation?
A: I’ve worked on lots of types of projects, but I generally deliver more People and Organisation projects and lots of Change Management for our clients.
Q: What are you most excited about for the future of Team London?
A: The growth of our people, of our brand, and tapping into the network of London.
Q: What are your favourite parts of consultancy life?
A: Working with different types of people. Cooperating and delivering work with people who have different specialities always creates learning opportunities for us. We can always learn by being curious, and seeing the impact on our clients is incredibly satisfying.
We get exposure to leadership internally at Lancia and externally with our clients. This exposure can provide insights into strategic decision-making processes and spotlight how businesses operate and why they operate the way they do.
Q: What can someone expect when they join the LanciaConsult team?
A:
- Support: Regardless of whether you’re on a solo project or in a team, you head into the client space with the help of everyone at Lancia around you.
- Opportunity: Initiatives and ideas about how we can continue to grow and improve are always encouraged.
Q: What’s the best thing about the London office?
A: Relaxed atmosphere. We have vinyl hanging on the walls, a record player, and plenty of plants to make our working environment comfortable.
Q: Describe the London office vibe in 3 words
A: Productive, relaxed and supportive
Q: What is it like to work with Pete?
A: Pete is a fantastic person to head up the London office. He has a natural, welcoming, and open presence and supports his team from both a professional/work perspective and a personal perspective. His emphasis on including us in the direction we want to take the London business excites everyone about our future.
